More and more music is being released in high resolution formats and one of the most exciting so far is this collection of rare and unreleased George Harrison recordings. The tracks were curated by Giles Martin (son of George Martin, Beatles producer) and Olivia Harrison, who shared the task of listening through hours and hours of lost recordings. It’s an intimate and thoroughly enjoyable look into Harrison’s songwriting in the immediate post-Beatles period.

“Paul’s Boutique is also an extended goof on Abbey Road, which was Paul McCartney’s boutique — and like that record, it ambitiously stitches together song fragments in a way rarely seen before or since.”
State of music
For anyone asking, Spotify’s design is terrible and it forces a workflow on you. It’s more work than it’s worth.
A Tribe Called Quest - Steve Biko (Stir It Up)
The Lonely Island - Japan
I really hope they make a video for this.
Mase - Feels So Good (1998)
Beastie Boys - Alive
The Beatles - She Came In Through The Bathroom Window
(From Anthology 3)

Beck - The Information (2006)
I think this might be the most underrated Beck album. It takes some of the best elements from Odelay, Midnight Vultures and Guero and blends them into something great. The second half of the album is especially awesome - I’ve told people who overlooked the album to listen particularly from track #9 onward.
